Is a snotty nose a Covid symptom? Along with a cough and sore throat.

The online advice is so contradicting. Some say a runny nose is not a sign of Covid and its just the flu then others say it can be a sign. 
I hate the thought of wasting a test as somebody else may need it.

My boys have all those symptoms. I know it's seasonal allergies. It happens to them at this time every year. If you're concerned you should get tested.

Just go get tested if you're scared. Theres no exact checklist of an exact combination of symptoms. It varies for everybody. I had it and had the fever, cough, sore throat, chest congestion, wheezing, headache and body aches.  My coworker had the vomiting and diarrhea. Nobody is gonna be exactly the same.

My daughters school won’t let them come to school without a Covid test if they have any symptoms. They only need to have one of the symptoms on the checklist, which are sore throat, cough, or fever￼. Runny nose was not on the list of symptoms, but with the sore throat and cough, I would get the test.￼

My son had a clear runny nose and a cough and we were told he should be tested. He likely had a sore throat too but he wasn’t even 1 yet so he couldn’t really tell us
