Is This Sketchy Update#2

Me and my husband have been trying for a baby for 4 years. No baby. Just miscarriages. His best friend who so happens to be a girl is pregnant and her boyfriend cheated and left. He's beem hanging out with her a lot more lately so she could vent. I don't like hearing her complain about it because it hurts me that I'm not pregnant. Last week he was out with her for an hour. He came home and we talked a bit. He told me she doesn't want the baby. She's 2 months from birth. He hung out with her even longer yesterday. Today he asked me if I wantec to get out the house and he would take me out to eat. He almost never wants to go anywhere so I found that strange. Then I was playing a game on his phone and a message from her popped up saying "Have you talked to you wife about it yet?" This all seems really sketchy to me.

Update: So I went to ask him what the texts meant and he said its something he wanted to discuss over dinner. I told him I rather know now, but he keeps insisting that we wait until dinner because it's an important conversation. I asked was it bad, and he said no. Its big but not bad. So I pretty much have to wait until we go out to eat for him to tell me.

Update#2: So he took me out to eat around 5 and as we were eating he told me basically how the conversation witb his friend went. She was stressed because she's come to a realization she doesn't want the baby and feels really bad. He suggested putting the baby up for adoption. She then asked if WE would be interested in adopting her baby since we've been trying for so long. He talked about it with her and said he would talk to me about it and get back to her. So he asked what I thought about the whole thing. Honestly I told him its a lot to think about. Adoption is quite a big process and I think we should take time to really think about it and talk about ut as a couple. He says that's fine. Adoption has crossed my mind several times. I need time to think about it of course. I will probably also reach out to her to talk about it, or have us all meet together. Right now, I have no answer, but maybe ❤

Edit: Okay for the several people who kept saying what if it's his baby, that I know for a fact isn't possible. When she got pregnant she wasn't even in the same state. She was out of state with her now ex boyfriend for 4 months. Even though I thought things were sketchy that was never something that crossed my mind.
