New Pantone Color: Period [Red].. your thoughts?

For those not familiar, Pantone is a color standard and forecasting service used by designers of apparel, beauty, decor, and a multitude of other products. They publish /create their own color trends based on industry direction... this is one of their latest additions to their color library:: Period.. sharing screenshots from their LinkedIn post.

Bonus Question 1: If you like the concept of it, would you buy products that are marketed as being this color, PERIOD?
