Selfemployed and planning projects ahead?

Ma

I’m wondering how other ladies are dealing with being selfemployed? During the beginning of covid I’ve lost almost all my jobs as a makeup artist/teacher and now suddenly it’s starting to pick up and I’m booked to teach again and getting an extra role in the social media department! Meanwhile slowly I’ve been getting commercial projects planned this week but sometimes they get pushed forward if someone is showing symptoms and we need to wait for a test and reschedule up to two weeks!

It’s making me a bit anxious because I’ve worked so much less and my body has gotten adjusted to my eventless life and my stamina seems allot lower! (Running around on set can be pretty exhausting!) But on the other hand I want to work so bad because I’ve missed it and I want to be able to keep my foot in between the door. Meanwhile I’m scared to plan ahead, my clients want to book me on time and I’m a bit scared that I can’t predict how my health is going to be in a months time and if I can deal with the world of constant running around, having no breaks and allround chaos! 🤣

I thought about arranging a back up person but it’s a pretty big risk for me because there is a big chance of losing my clients to them eventually or if they don’t do well enough I’ll get a bad rep for forwarding them. It’s an confusing industry so yeah, I’m wondering how other selfmade’s out here are dealing with these kind of issues?
