Miscarriage - bleeding stopped but tests still positive

Hi all,

I miscarried at 8 weeks:(. The bleeding stopped today but i can still see faint lines on pregnancy tests. How long does it takes for the hcg levels to drop to zero after you stop bleeding.

We are ready to ttc again and dont know when to start. Based on what i read it is recommended first for the hcg to drop to zero.
