When is it the hardest with a new baby?

What would you say was the hardest stage with a new baby and why? First couple months? Between 6 months to a year? Terrible 2?

Oh God. The first 4 months or so were traumatic for me lol. I barely remember them. My husband worked and we don't get paternity leave here so I was alone all day, every day, having no freaking idea what I was doing. My son was colicky, didn't sleep like I thought newborns were supposed to, didn't take to breastfeeding, and cried all day long. Once he was 4+ months things got a bit better (still doesn't sleep at 19 months though 🥴)

I have 2 girls, 17/18 months apart. 4 years old & 2 1/2. Through both situations the hardest part would be when they were first born. Each baby is different but the constant feeding, waking up at night, figuring out why they are crying is absolutely the hardest. After the first 6 months I think it gets easier atleast it did for me. Even with my girls being so close in age I would always say the first 6 months questioned my mentality lol

Every stage is hard in different ways. Lol 😫 I currently have a three year old and a 7 week old. My newborn is a pretty good sleeper. Can sleep up to 4.5 hours at a time. However, he can get colicky sometimes and cries a lot. My toddler is more independent, but has A LOT of energy. So I really can’t choose which is harder. They both keep us super busy and tired. 🤷🏽‍♀️

First few months are Killin me. He's 2 months Saturday and some days we are both crying 😭

I say first couple of months until you get a routine.
Baby crying at 2am for no reason, can’t figure it out, tired as hell.
It slowly got better, but for me those first few months are killer.

For me the worse with my girls was around two when they went threw wanting to get up at 6 am and stay up at night till 2-4 am 🤨. My son will be 2 in January and so far we’ve only had a few incidents of being rough mostly of which when he had acid reflux so bad he would stop breathing but part of that was be he has a main artery defect that instead of running under it runs over his esophagus instead of under like It should . But other wise I didn’t think any of it’s been super hard. My oldest will be 10 and 13 this year

It depends on how good of a sleeper you get. With my good sleepers, the earlier stages were easier, but for the ones who weren't or had reflux, the earlier stages were rough.
