Announcing to Family

Cheyanne • Baby #1 is due July 26th
Hey ladies! When did you announce your pregnancy to your family? I don't want to announce too early to be sure, but I hate keeping it quiet!

I will announce it as soon as I get my positive. Nobody in my family knows that I'm ttc, but will be as happy as I am to find out. I've thought about keeping it a secret but there's no way I could do that without popping. Good luck to you hun :)

I say announce as soon as possible! Lots of people say to wait in case you miscarry, but I would disagree. I'd rather people know so that if I do miscarry those people will be there to mourn with me instead of trying to mourn/grieve all alone!

We are announcing it to our parents and siblings on thanksgiving- I'll be 5 weeks. I know that's too early for a lot of people I had a miscarriage in April and regretted not telling anyone beforehand. Because then we had to go to our families and tell them that we found out we were pregnant but that we were miscarrying. This time, we decided to tell them early so that we can get as much prayer and support through these first scary few weeks.

I announced my twins to everybody I knew at my wedding at 5w6d just because they had been following up with the in vitro process that I went through. Super risky, but it worked out. I guess I wanted the support just in case it didn't work out.

But if something does happen then you would have the support of your family. And the baby, you can actually mourn because it will feel more real. That's how I think of it. I did wait until my first ultrasound just to make sure they were in there but it was at 5weeks which is a lot earlier then most

that's what I'm worried about! especially both our families drink at Thanksgiving and are going to be asking questions on why I'm not. I think I'll wait until aftwr my 1st appt on the 30th. I just got a positive yesterday after trying for almost a year!
