Menstrual cup newbie 😅

Hi ladies,

I began wearing a menstrual cup yesterday. It took me a while to finally take the step to get one because I always felt my vaginal opening would be too small to handle it.

I was right though 😅. But I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Insertion is not (so) painful, and once it’s in I barely feel it -which I heard is a good sign. I’ve had minor leaks...which could be (I’m not sure) that I need one size bigger but I don’t think my little girl can handle a bigger one. But nothing a pad can’t take care of.

My major problem is removal. It’s all good until the upper part of the cup gets close to my vaginal opening. Then it’s really painful. I thought it might be because the seal was not broken, but if that was the case, my cup wouldn’t budge at all, right? And every article I read online says removal shouldn’t be painful... Am I wrong to assume these articles were most likely written by sexually active women?

I don’t mind the pain so much, but I just want to be sure I’m not injuring my little girl. Or could I be doing something wrong in the removal phase?

All suggestions and experiences are welcome. Thanks ladies!
