I feel SO conflicted on sleep training vs co-sleeping.

The positives

-We have co-slept since 6wks

-We practice safe sleeping and I'm not concerned about co-sleeping

-I enjoy co-sleeping and the comfort knowing babe is always near

-Co-sleeping makes middle of the night feedings easier

The negatives

-Co-sleeping is starting to have an affect on my relationship with my husband

-Contact napping is starting to be an issue with our babysitter(s)

-I would like babe to sleep later in the morning but cant sneak away while co-sleeping

I want to do what's best for my baby. And I'm getting such conflicting information. One hand I hear how letting baby figure out sleep is helpful for baby. And I read stories about co-sleeping parents having toddlers still nursing at night for comfort.

I have a friend who sleep trained at 3 months and her boy is doing great! But part of me feels so guilty for letting babe sleep all alone. I mean I know I hate sleeping alone. Shes too big for her bassinet and moving her crib to our room isnt an option.

Originally I told my husband wed start to *think* about sleep training when babe turned 4 months old. And well shes 4 months today.

Idk what to do. I feel like I'm failing my baby by sleep training. But I also feel like I'm failing her if she needs me to fall and stay asleep.

Help.
