How often are you supposed to get checkups for mirena iud?

I’ve had mine for almost a year and everything’s been goin well.. but I hear so many stories of doctors not being able to find it🙄😟 my hubs can sometimes feel it during sex.. do you think it’s nothing to worry about if he feels it or should I still get checked to see if it’s in place..?

I never have. My doctor only told me to come in if there was an issue. I guess they see that it’s there every other year during my exam, but that’s it 🤷🏼‍♀️
