Sex hurts?

So I am a year and a half postpartum now. But still to this day when I have sex it’s still painful where my stitches were. I delivered vaginally and had a episiotomy, is it normal for it to still hurt?￼

I didn’t have an episiotomy but I did year a tiny bit and had a stitch and it sometimes still hurts. 2 things I recommend...have a few drinks before gettin down...seriously, it helps. Lol and get Uber lube! The stuff has been a game changer!!

I recommend pelvic floor therapy to strengthen those muscles so they don’t hurt anymore

I had this issue with my first, a lot of lube needed and it just took a while to heal completely. I tore again with my second and was fine 6 weeks later, bodies are so weird! Lol I would go to your OB just in case though to check everything out.

I had this problem with my second son. He was born with his hand by his head I ripped in 3 places on the inside. They was so sensitive. I would recommend talking to your but may try a good lube because friction will really irritate the scarring. After i had my 3rd son (5 years later) it never bothered me again. My dr recommend that i "stretch" the scare tissue alil at a time. But at the time i kinda thought he was crazy. Like you want me to what my vag??

You could have some granular tissue where the stitches were. I had that and mine was very small and ended up going away but if that’s the case they can burn it off with silver nitrate.
