Asking Parents of 2 or more Kids

We want to have a second child- almost 2 years apart. We've been discussing how it might work. I'm back at work and I really like my job, besides the financial independence makes me feel more comfortable. I must say I was struggling with the newborn phase, the expectations I had and the reality what it was made me hit the baby blues. Well, that too passed and I'm wondering how you have managed? I picture myself nursing a newborn while chasing a toddler around and wonder if I'm setting up myself for misery.
