So some info about me: I’m 29, have a copper iud for a little over a year, got it June 2019, and after the first month (which is normal) I didn’t notice any cramping or extra bleeding.

I think around July I started having some pretty bad PMS symptoms about two weeks before my period was due. Bad bloating, cramps, mood swings, etc and and then a week before my period is due I’ve been spotting the whole time/lightly bleeding and THEN I start my period for real for about a week to 10 days.

Is this because of my IUD? Or might something be wrong with me since there’s no hormones is my cycle messed up? I’m just trying to figure out if it is because it sucks feeling like crap for more than half the month but I like how reliable the iud is so I want to keep it if I can.
