When will eating be NOT MESSY!????

My lo is 1 and has not stopped being sooooo soooo messy. It’s so hard some days. Maybe 2 days of the week he’ll be not so messy and eat most of his food but he’s recently been throwing some sort of tantrums and food is flying almost everywhere. Yesterday he hardly ate and today he ate maybe half of his food but it’s always so so messy. I’m tired. 😔🤭😩😩😩
