How long till period returned post partum?

I am 42 and pregnant with my first. I want a second as soon as possible after this one but also want to breastfeed. If you had a baby over 40 how long did it take for your period to come back post partum? Especially if you were breastfeeding 🤱 exclusively.

Got pregnant naturally onr month before turning 42, now she's the most perfect 7 month old, I had my first period last month. Btw I was thinking the same way, gotta have the second asap, but now I am more chilled, we will start trying loosely soonish but I also want to  enjoy what we have right now

I know this is an older post but it totally depends on the person . . . My period returned exactly 26 days after delivery. My cycle is 26 days long.  I exclusively breastfed for 3 months and then pumped another month.  I got pregnant 4 months postpartum and had a second easy pregnancy. My first was at 40 and we knew we wanted 3 so decided to start trying and got pregnant right away.  This third pregnancy has taken us a little longer so I’ll be 45 when I deliver but I love having my first 2 so close together.

Hey sweety I understand you want a baby ASAP but it's vest to wait a year after you've had a baby before trying again as it takes a year for everything to fully heal and hormones to completely settle  having a second yoo soon can cause small babies, problems for your health and also a higher risk of preterm birth

Period returned 13.5 months after I had my first at 38 (only once I night weaned). Got my period back 12 months after having my second at 41 and am still feeding whilst TTC #3.

Jules, its amazing that your dancing to Queen B and preggers, K just love that! Your such an inspiration, Im 44 and working on my first (feel like I'm so close) I know you posted about how long it takes for you to get tour period to try for baby 2, but I wanted to ask you...do you have any tips on what worked for you? It really depends on the person. I got mine 4 months after she was born exclusively breast feeding. If you plan to exclusively breast feed then I’d wait until 6 months to start trying for another so your pregnancy doesn’t effect your milk supply. I’d wait a year though just to let your body get back to normal.

I was 40 with my last and exclusively BF till he was 16 months. My period returned around 10 months pp.
