Baby boy name too unique?

Is the name onyx too unique? Or (unusual)?

I love the name but everyone I tell it too thinks it’s too different. My MIL hates it. 🙄 and I told the lady that was doing my ultrasound and she said it was (unusual). It kinda hurts my feelings when people say that because I really Think it’s a cute name. What do you think? Should I just pick another name or not care about what other people think about it? I just don’t want my baby growing up thinking he’s weird because of a name. 🤦🏼‍♀️
