Sleeping with blanket?

My 7 month old sleeps so much better with a blanket, her room is more cooler than the rest of the house, and I've tried getting the temperature right, used a register booster, etc and nothing seems to work. I only let her sleep with it during naps, but I've been contemplating letting her sleep with it at night. It's a knitted blanket so it is breathable. She can sit up on her own, roll, and almost crawling so I know she could probably get out from under it if she needed, but my SO I'd worried it would get wrapped around her neck. Thoughts?

A peds nurse once told me if you put baby at the bottom of the crib so the feet are almost touching the rail and you tuck the bottom part of the blanket under the mattress and only have enough on top to reach the arm pits it’s much safer 🤷‍♀️.
Personally- I just tuck a knit one around her and under the legs and she does fine

You're not "supposed" to until they're 1, but I think sometimes a parent's judgment is better and it would be OK to do if you think so. I let my toddler sleep with a blanket at 8 months and I'm letting this babe sleep with a blanket, just for naps for now. I use a light one too. So if you want to use your judgment you can, but make sure you know the risks for that. They are older so I think risk is lower, but it's still there. I keep that in mind too.

My baby has been sleeping with a blanket for almost all her life. We first swaddled her with it but once she was old enough to be able to kick it off herself, we just put it on her regularly and made sure it was tucked under her arms. We keep our house cool so she wears a long sleeves

I didn't let my first use a blanket until 1 but this baby has been using a blanket for a while now. He sleeps on his belly and doesn't roll around at all so I'm not worried about it.
