Little to no family
Hi everyone,
Recently, my husband and I have been struggling with our current situation when it comes to family.
Both of us don't have a large family and the family we have are either alcoholics or just VERY distant. It's quite sad when we think of it.
It's really just us and our son. Our son has no grandparents that he'll grow up with or close aunts and uncles.
It makes me really sad to think that he'll grow up with a small family and won't know what it's like to have big family gathering for the holidays.
We are worried that this is putting our son at a disadvantage by having just my husband and I raising him. He really doesn't know anyone else aside from our close friends.
Is anyone else in this situation? We can't enroll my son in daycare or Montessori schools because A. They are closed and B. It's too costly.
I'd love for him to be socialized but with the events of this year and having no family at all, it's been tough. I feel really bad for him.
My husband and I have cried about this and thought, maybe adding a sibling would help build that big family we've always wanted.
