Tattoo over scarring

Hey ladies. I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow to get some old self injury scars covered up. I've been so excited for this. I'm not ashamed of my scars but I dont want to be reminded of the reasons why they are there. I felt like this was going to be such a positive thing for my mental health and a step in a good direction. Kind of a final closing to that chapter in life.

But now that I'm less than 24 hours from doing so, I'm starting to get kind of nervous and anxious and wonder if I will regret it for some reason.

Has anyone ever covered a scar and regretted it after? Or even just some advice, what would you do?

I'd really hate to cancel last minute due to my anxiety and cold feet.
