Asking a specific medicine question and then using that as an equivalent to a range of reproductive things on a womans side is not an equal comparison. That's like comparing apples and oranges.

I don’t think getting an erection and birth control are on the same plane. Birth control is used for a variety of health conditions, but lack of libido or inability to get an erection is usually just due to age. I think if it’s due to a medical problem, like a blood flow issue, depression, etc. then yes it should be covered and treated the same as essential medicine.

As long as fertility treatment is covered as well. That being said, medications like Cialis aren’t only erectile dysfunction medications, they treat other conditions, and the ED being treated is just a bonus, and medications like that shouldn’t be denied as they can greatly impact someone’s quality of life.

As someone who has worked in pharmacy in the US for 10+ years, I see this all the time and it makes no sense to me. 
99% of insurance companies don’t cover meds for erectile dysfunction. 99% do cover birth control. 
I really don’t understand why ED meds are always brought up in arguments about BC coverage.

What is your definition of “essential healthcare”? What does that entail? Insurance coverage? Free? Partial coverage? 
I don’t think there is a simple answer. There is no definitive yes or no to this. It’s very circumstantial. Ultimately it should be up to the insurance company, as it usually is. 
I also don’t think male enhancement pills are equivalent to birth control. They’re not even in the same realm of a medication.
