Are your babies counting objects? (Not just counting in general but specifically counting objects)

My toddler counts objects but only knows the number 2, so it’s “two..two...two...” while pointing to the different things.

My son can say two, three, four, five, eight, nine and ten. He definitely isn't counting objects and I wouldn't expect him to at this age.

My son says 2 and 9. He used to say 1 2 3 now it’s all about 2 and 9 🤣

Emily can count to 10 but skips one and two a lot.

Clem gets up to five, and I'm pretty sure its because we do the 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed song all the time 😆

Counting with 1-to-1 correspondence isnt a skill they should have mastered just yet. My daughter can “count” objects, but not accurately.
