When should I make my first appointment?

Do I go see my physician? And if so when? Or do I need to find obgyn ASAP. I have been changing them over the years, do to lack of liking them. I liked one, but she is fully booked.

If your insurance needs a referral then you call your primary doctor first. Mine did not so I found an OB that sounded good and called them. My first appointment was at 8 weeks 5 days most won’t see you until after 8 weeks

Definitely make an appointment with the OB office! This time around I saw a nurse practitioner for my first visit/ultrasound, then a nurses appointment and now I’m finally seeing my OB this week. It may be  a good idea to get a positive pregnancy test with your primary just in case you need medicine for nausea or something like that. My OB office couldn’t give me any prescriptions until I saw them first so I had to contact my primary to help with being so sick.

When I got a positive pregnancy test I called my OB that day,, had an appointment 3days later, I than (maybe 2weeks later)had my 1st US at 7weeks 2days,,, seen a small bean and heard the heart beat,,, I think it depends on where u live when they will see you,,, I reside in upstate NY
