Defeating ISIS?

Will it ever happen? Will it ever get "under control"?

How will we do this? Just curious on people's opinions.

I recently read that the cyber vigilante group "Anonymous" has declared war on ISIS via the internet. I'm interested to see how this plays out & if it proves effective...but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't think America will 'defeat' them, maybe another country.

But they're extremists I don't think we'll ever "defeat" them I think it's a matter of managing them at this point, extremists of any religion won't ever stop even if they're the last man standing, and others will follow in their foot steps.

ISIS isn't the only terrorist group to be concerned about. AL-Quaida and Boko Haram are still around, too (and others). It isn't necessarily one specific group in one location. Radicalism is the real problem, and it's spread throughout the world. Personally, I think all the media attention is fueling the fire encouraging more acts of terrorism.

I'm pretty sure ISIS can be defeated, but terrorism as a whole? No. If and when ISIS is not the main terrorist on this planet, some other terrorism group is going to come along. And the groups are the one that are the larger problems.

You know, the Boko Haram has murdered far more than ISIS have. But I guess the fact that they don't pose a threat to western cultures means that their crimes aren't as bad, and they are in no need of being defeated anytime soon 😒
