Help- Baby dropped

Nav

I need feedback from anyone whose experience the following..

Okay I’m 30 weeks and my baby dropped and it’s in position to enter the world( my docs words) .. Braxton Hicks are intense but they do go away if I dont walk too much.. my lovely doctor whom I love is young and just started her career so she hasn’t had much experience and that’s okay. BUT I’m a first time mom and I can’t help but think that this might just might mean that the baby might come out earlier and I should be alert?? I live 50 mins away from hospital so I just want to know.. is this common?? Should I not be worried or maybe might be coming soon and I should stand by near the hospital soon?
