Ovulating right after period??

My hubby and I are on month 4 of ttc. I have irregular periods so I decided to do ovulation testing to see if I was missing my peak days. I had a 5 day period, and started testing on the last day. Day 5 and day 6 were just a solid circle, but yesterday and today were a flashing smiley face. Is it normal/bad to be ovulating around day 9 of my cycle? I’ve been cramping all day and we baby danced yesterday and today as well. Please help!
