Pediasure?

My son has been with what I think is a stomach virus since Friday, he had a fever then. Now he just has diarrhea and a cough. He will take milk & juice but is refusing solids (except puffs and cookies). Do y’all think he is too young for Pediasure? I just don’t want him not eating and lose weight.

What about smoothies/home made milk shakes with banana and peanut butter etc? You can add fruits, avocado, Greek yogurt, even a few chick peas into a smoothie as long as it’s got banana and a handful of berries it tastes good. Can add a little honey as well. 
Also don’t you think if he’s eating puffs and cookies he’s probably fine just not that hungry Bc he was sick...

First, I would suggest asking your doctor about the pediasure, they would know best. But, if your son is drinking milk and juice and eating some foods, I don’t think he needs it. Pediasure is for kids that aren’t taking in nutrition, either due to lack of appetite or because they’re too sick to keep food in. Milk has a lot of nutrients and calories. 
Second, I don’t think stomach viruses tend to last several days. My experience is that they last a couple of days. They also aren’t accompanied by fever and cough. Those are definitely covid symptoms and I would strongly encourage you to get him tested. And if it’s not that, the pediatrician should probably still assess since it’s been 4-5 days of illness.

Ask your doctor. My daughter was on antibiotics for 28 days and she had bad diarrhea the first week. She never stopped eating though. 😩 Thé biggest thing is hydration, too. They told me to stick to water, but if water didn’t work I could give Pedialyte. 
Try easy foods? My daughter ate a lot of bananas around that time. ❤️

When my son was sick the Dr gave him a pediasure Popsicle.  He wanted nothing to do with it cause they tested him for covid to be safe.
