Contractions stopped now that I'm out of work

I had been having mostly painless contractions every 10-40 minutes for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Now that I'm 37 weeks, my doctor took me out of work (normally 12 hour shifts always standing, moving, bending down to pick up stuff I've dropped). Now that I'm out of work, the contractions have almost stopped where I have maybe one or two a day. I'm not complaining but is this normal?
