Tips for stitches healing?

I’m a weeks post partum today and my stitches are getting more and more uncomfortable. I had a second degree tear. Any tips for what you ladies are doing for relief?

my hospital gave me this to use as a numbing spray & also gave me motrin for pain as needed, i’m no longer taking the motrin but i’m sure i will again but the speedy does help a good bit

Update!! As it turns out I’m not pooping enough and it’s adding pressure to my stitches. So I’ll be adding fibre and water to your lists LOL

Dermaplast, sitz bath, tuks/witch hazel, and ibuprofen. After a bit the dermaplast stung more than helped but the tuks were amazing. I am almost 3weeks pp and the stitches still irritate but dont hurt.

These where the three items my doctor recommended and so far they are working wonderfully. They are from Frida Mom. The bottle makes washing the area easier, better then the one they give you at the hospital. The next one is the Frida Mom Healing Foam it helps with the pain and swelling. You can either buy this or a spray called Dermoplast they both help with the pain. And the third item is just Frida Mom Pad Liners, I just used these and the foam together. These are cool and helps relieve the burning feeling from the stitches. Frida Mom has a whole postpartum kit, but I just got the products that my doctor recommended. I also didn't want to get the whole kit because I personally know I will not use everything in it. Good luck momma!

I have a second degree tear also and what has worked for me is alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen using a perineal bottle when I use the rest room to help relieve the pain and sitting on ice packs. I am currently 3 weeks postpartum and the pain feels better but I am still bleeding so it does get better￼
