My dr wouldn't give it to me because she said to not dad approved yet and is only worth the risks of you absolutely are high risk or are over 35

If there is no medical need for it your insurance might not pay for it. Just be prepared to pay out of pocket.

Well it's not a gender test it's a test for genetic abnormalities... And if you're not considered high risk then most likely your insurance will not cover it. If you're just looking for the gender at about I believe 14/ 15 weeks you can do a 3D scan, which you still have to pay out of pocket but much cheaper.

I believe it's mostly being called the NIPT test (non-invasive prenatal test).

Just say you'd like a genetic chromosome test and make sure he one you get includes the test for the sex of the baby. The one I got includes a test for Down's syndrome, the two "tri" abnormalities and sex.
