Nervous!

Hello ladies!!!

So according to my calendar, my period is 5 days late. My period is NEVER late! It normally comes at least a day before or a day after my scheduled period. I'm so nervous to buy a test because I don't want to get my hopes up.

I'm not really experiencing any period or pregnancy symptoms other than my boobs have been a little sore and today I'm feeling crampy. I also noticed after my husband and I had sex today, I did have a very very small amount of blood after I went to the bathroom.

Anybody have any similar situations??? How soon should I actually take a test? Which test would be best to take?

Update: I took a first response test tonight and it was negative... going to give it a few more days and retest.
