Doctor tells you to choose between saving your

I keep seeing this question on other social media and i see alot of people from both sex saying they would save their SO. My last pregnancy was very high risk and it was a conversation i had with my husband and my wishes were for him to save our children his response to that was we could have other kids but as a mother that was my wishes and he respected that. So I'm wondering what are you ladies out look on this question? Doesn't have to be birth because obviously men don't give birth, my situation was just an example.
