Oct. 12th (36+5) My cervix was short and was 80%-90% thinned and I was 1.5 centimeters dilated. Baby was low.

Oct. 18th (37+4) I went to the hospital with constant stabbing pains in my lower abdomen that had me doubled over for hours. They checked me and my cervix was very long and said I was dilated to maybe a 1. They said it was possibly early labor. The next day I had an appointment with my doctor and he checked and cervix was still long and he couldn't even check dilation.. He also said it might be early labor.

I'm confused why this would happen with my cervix. Does someone have any clue? This is my first baby so very new to all this. I still have stabbing pains that double me over but they come and go. I have contractions all day long (not rhythmic) especially when walking or moving. Today I am 38+2 and I'm anxious for labor and birthing this boy.
