Does it sound like he's jealous of me?

My boyfriend and I are in completely different work fields. He has a part time job for now and has been looking for a full-time job for a while. A few weeks ago, I got a job offer in his field and accepted because I need the money. I was super excited and thought that he would be too.

Not once has he really said that he was happy for me. When I initially told him, he just listed how my job would be "fitting" for me. I think that was possibly his way of saying that he's happy for me. After that, he isn't interested anymore. I showed him the papers that I had to sign*** and he just turned on the TV. I had my first work meeting today and he just ignored me again. Left on read. I feel like everyone except him is happy for me after my workplace closed in April.

I even asked him if he was jealous because I am working in his field and all I got was "not that much- it's not like a job I'm interested in anyway" If he isn't interested, why can't he be happy for me? I don't rub it in his face or anything. I'm just really happy to have a job again.

***The papers were for legal reasons and I needed a second opinion before signing. He is familiar with the contracts. Like I said, this is NOT my work field. It's his. Was never my intention to "brag". I'm sorry you see it that way. I was struggling as well as I've been unemployed for months.
