I have to stop lying

So, I’ve been lying to my boyfriend about little things. Like I lie about stuff that I shouldn’t be lying about. The reason why I do lie is because I’m afraid of what he will think or say to me. Sometimes I’m afraid I won’t make him happy or he will get mad. I have to stop this habit. I use to do my mom like that and now it became something now I have to stop it. I feel so bad and he said he forgives me and he still does trust me. But I need help
