Has anyone ever used a nipple shield before? If so how was it?

Look into nipple shells I didn't even know they existed and tried to use shields with my girls and it was a mess they always leaked and I ended up giving up and pumping bc they wouldn't latch with the shells you wear them a few mins before nursing then take them off and your nipple should be the perfect shape for latching

Loved it life saver I breastfed for 6 weeks nipples hurt so bad I cried every time I nursed. He started out with a perfect latch and something changed. A lactation nurse gave me the shield it was a miracle. They never should fall off you have to lick it when u stick it on or use breast milk to stick it on.

I used one when I had breastfeeding issues and my nipples were so sore and cracked. They really helped to ease the pain.

All I could use with my preemie twins after they nippled on bottles in the nicu! :) they're a pain to put on and wash every feeding but they were the only way I could breast feeding my boys!

I loved it I will be using it again... I didn't know they had different sizes.... what makes the size different the holes or the size of the nipple

With my first daughter I used them too long and she wouldn't latch unless I had the shield on. If you use it, only use it intermittently until your baby gets the hang of things. It's no fun if you forget your shield in public and your baby won't eat because of it. I used it again for a week with my second daughter because my let down was too strong and I was drowning my daughter during feedings. That helped regulate what she could eat until she got the hang of things.

I used them because I couldn't get baby girl to latch. I have flat nipples :/ Used them for about 2 weeks and then bought a pump. They were messy and a pain. I'll probably use them again with this baby
