Baby waking hourly
Question: My daughter gives me a sleep stretch (3-4 hours) at first but then wakes every hour (or less sometimes) from about 2:00AM onward. She will only eat for a very short time for the middle of the night feeds, and usually one side only. I've been trying to get to her to nurse longer or on the other side but she clamps her mouth shut and there is no way to get her to latch. Shes usually asleep at this point, having passed out when she's done. I've tried diaper change, tickling her cheek, etc. It's crossed my mind that perhaps she's not hungry and is just comfort nursing. But I'd really like to stretch out the every hour thing. She doesn't like pacifiers. During the day she's eating all the time, short feedings every 30-60 minutes. Any advice? She's 8 weeks old.
