Help please

Hello, I am looking for any input/advice/knowledge on the subject of getting into an apartment. I have only ever got into an apartment right when I turned 18 and I had friends on the lease with me. It was a terrible idea and we ended up getting something sent to collections that was from the apartment complex (no eviction however and nothing settled in court about us being evicted or owing) but they sent something to collections (it has been 6 years since that incident) now, my credit score is not the best just because of my income to debt ratio, but I pay my bills on time and only have a few credit cards (not thousands of dollars and I manage to pay at least min payment on them every month) and student loans. I am looking to apply for an apartment but my only income is a very part time job, child support and ssi.

So my main questions/things I need help with are; will all 3 of my incomes be valid incomes when applying for an apartment, and will I get denied because of these few things I have listed above ? I am so afraid of rejection and I get anxiety even thinking about applying but at this point it is either start applying or go to a shelter. I am not going to spend money applying if it isnt even worth it 🥲
