Residual numbness from epidural?
Hey ladies ๐
I had my 3rd baby on October 2nd. Eventful to say the least, he was breech and they turned him at 39 weeks then induced me. I got the epidural before the procedure, so it was probably started at about 9:45am. It didnt work quite as well as with my first two, and I noticed one leg was a lot more numb than the other. I told the nurses but they said "it's usual." Okay, whatever. He was born the next morning at 3 am.
That one leg was so numb after I couldn't even help get my legs in and out of the stirrups. It took me a bit to get to walking again and my leg was still a little numb from the knee down but getting better. I went home that Saturday (gave birth Friday).
Ever since, I'm still numb. My left leg on the calf side, about two to three inches below the knee. And my foot feels like pins and needles half the time. I walk limping because the sensation is weird, I have motor control but no feeling when I rub my hand down my calf.
Google says it could last weeks to months, and I obviously havent been to my post partum appointment for another two weeks. Just posting to see if any other moms have experienced this and if it went away, or what their outcome was.
Thanks ladies๐๐
