I am the worst mom

I am beating myself up. I am such a bad mom and failing to do the least even 😔

My MIL is a nurse and contracted CoVid more than 2 months ago. She was cleared for work after she quarantined but I decided to still keep distance and stayed away for about 4 more weeks.

This weekend, we were told that my brother in law's family are moving to another state for his job. We haven't seen anyone in our family for more than a month so I called my MIL asking if she thinks it'll be good to visit now. She has not had any symptoms for a month now so she said yes but promised she still wouldn't carry my 6 month old or get really close to him.

Anyways, we visited them for a couple hours last Friday. First 10 minutes of being there, I noticed the kids (my BIL/SIL kiddos) are sick. Sneezing, coughing and runny noses. They were all over my kid so I told my husband we needed to go. My inlaw never did carry my son or got close to him in any way but the kiddos? Holy cow. No one warned us that they were sick.

Fast forward 2 days later and my son ran a low grade temp once today (relieved and so far normal temps) and is congested, have a runny nose, mildly coughing and sneezing a bunch.

I freaking hate myself for getting him out of the house. :( He doesn't seem so bothered but this is all my fault. Now he doesn't feel like his normal self all because we went to spend time with family. :(

Ugggh. I wish I could take the under the weather feeling away and give it to me instead.
