Starting CLOMID on day 3 or day 5?

I will be starting my first round of clomid this cycle on day 5 as suggested by my dr. However, I have read people usually starting it on day 3. Is there a difference between the initiation days. What cycle day did u guys start on and what is the success rate?

Some people say that starting on cd 3 produces more eggs while cd 5 produces better quality eggs but my re has always said there’s no difference
