Do you think Chelsea Handlers comments were racist?

Chelsea Handler appeared on The Tonight Show the other night and talked about her ex boyfriend, 50 cent, and his recent tweet about being against Biden’s tax plan saying he might vote for Trump.
She is a comedian so some of it was in a joking nature - “she’d give it another go with him if he didn’t”, etc. but at the beginning she stated “I had to remind him that he is a black person so he cannot vote for Donald Trump. He also shouldn’t be influencing swaths of people who follow him.” 
Is this racist coming from a white women?

Why she thinks a adult black male who runs several multimillion businesses can not decide who to vote for is beyond me. An insult to his intelligence and his race to think she can “persuade” him using sex🧐. Wow.

Yes and no. I think her back and forth joke she had with 50 went to far. It was funny when I saw it on Twitter but she went to far saying he can’t vote for Trump because he’s black. But I mean 50 wasn’t upset about her comments and went along with it and I still wouldn’t consider her racist the way I consider Trump racist. She’s was just tone-deaf and unnecessary.

I think to say “Hey, you’re (insert ethnicity here) you can’t do that!” Is pretty racist. It also undermines his intelligence and ability to make up his own mind based on his skin color which is 😬. 
I mean you don’t have to like Trump or agree with his vote. If she said “Ugh, I can’t believe he’d even think about voting for him” and list reasons why then that’s a different story. “I had to remind him that he’s black so he can’t vote for him.” Is what she said though and that isn’t okay.
