Anyone else’s kid going through terrible 2’s yet?

I’ve seen a complete 180 from my little girl. She was the most pleasant child ever and now I can barely handle a few hours with her. It’s been going on since July. She pushes every boundary, is constantly hitting, and although some of this is normal, I’ve never seen a child act out on this level. Hoping I’m not the only one 😞

Yep! Mine started at 1.5. It’s a good day if she only throws one or two tantrums.

Great time to start teaching them to recognize their emotions. 
“Are you sad?” “Are you angry?” “Why are you angry?” “How can I help you be happy?” “Should we sing a song?” “Do you want to read a book?” “Do you want a stuffed animal to hug?”
Get a locker mirror and keep it somewhere handy so they can see their face when they are having strong emotions. The first step to managing emotions is recognizing them.

Yep and everything is a fight. Eating, putting clothes on, likes to do whatever the cat does etc. I've learnt some things you have to ignore. As long as they not dangerous, I just let her be and she gets over it once she sees I'm not paying attention.

same here. my once easy going child has truly got a mind of her own now. I have been giving myself a hard time even though I know it’s normal. She just doesn’t seem to as happy as she used to be but it does
help knowing i’m not the only one going through it!

Ohhh yes. Just like the flip of a switch this past month. I had to carry him out of a restaurant because he had a huge tantrum. The reason? He was moving his food around the plate so I picked up a piece and tried to feed him....that’s all! No joke. Literally bc I said “here have a piece” 🤣
Then last night he went to go eat the food out of the seat of his high chair and I gently pulled him away and holy crap. He basically cried himself to sleep
