Got dumped 🥺😭

So I was with this guy for few months and I was always with him even when he lost his job. So I had a difficult past and decided to go to therapy for that and when I told him he said he is always there with me. When I told him about my past he was okay with it and told me again that he was there with me but few days out of the blue he said he wants to end it because he thinks I should deal with it first and then be involved with someone. I’m so confused like what the hell is happening. I really liked this guy and was really feeling this was going somewhere.
