Is this normal in a relationship ?

My boyfriend just recently moved in with me full time and got a job back home. He was working on the railroad but my mom passed and his dad isn’t doing good so he decided to stay here.

Within the past couple of months, he doesn’t want to have sex, or touch of even kiss me. We’ve stopped talking as much and he just doesn’t seem involved. He said we should be out of the stage where we want to kiss and touch all the time. He actually moves away from me when I try to kiss him. I don’t know if it’s stress from less money or if I’m doing something wrong. I don’t have to have sex or kiss all the time but it’s nice to be wanted? Anybody else have this problem? How did you fix things?
