Zofran??

Question

Doctor prescribed me zofran 8mg, but the bottle says take 2-3 times daily. Does anyone know how often I can take it? It hasn’t given me any relief yet unfortunately 😭

I took zofran with my first and it helped. It also helped that first am every morning I’d wake up and eat a bowl of cereal right away. The fuller stomach helped a lot. I know thats probably the last thing you’re thinking about. But a simple slice of toast or some crackers or a bowl of cereal does seem to help.

Ugh, people are giving opinions verses answering your question. Trust your doctor not internet professionals on this app 🙄. My doctor prescribed me 4mg to take every 8 hours as needed. If it says 2-3x a day that means every 8-12 hours as needed. Hope you get some relief!

Zofran actually isn’t considered the safest anti-nausea med, esp in the first trimester. Id see if you can get diclegis instead or take over the counter unisom at night with vitamin b6 25mg every 8 hours as needed for nausea. 
But to answer your question, you can take zofran 8mg every 8h as needed.

I just got prescribed that medicine. Mine is 4mg every 6 hours as needed. So far It has helped me and takes off the edge of feeling sick. They also told me I can take B6 with Unisom if Zofran didn’t work!
