Diaper rash help?!?

We have been trying to clear up a diaper rash for a couple days now, but it just keeps getting worse. We have tried all the tricks like keeping her dry, aquafor, resinol, other diaper rash creams, even a little bit of baby powder. We have called our doctor twice now and they have recommended Lotramin cream to try before seeing her, but it’s not helping very much. Any tips please?!?

It could be a diaper rash yeast infection (not like how we get a yeast infection but caused by the type of fungus). My girl has had a few of them. She has one now actually. Our doctor said it’s actually pretty common. The only thing that works is Nyastin cream, but it has to be prescribed by a doctor. It clears up after a few days with the cream. I hope your little one is all better soon!

My LO has sensitive skin and is prone to rashes. He has also had rashes from yeast and had to use lotrimin too. We used it 3x a day. We would put lotrimin on all the rash areas and then put a layer of aquaphor or A+D over the lotrimin to keep it on his skin and prevent it from wiping off on the diaper. We would use aquaphor for all the diaper changes between the lotrimin use. Make sure their skin is dry before applying the cream. Also make sure that you dont let them sit in a dirty diaper for a long time. Change them as soon as possible.
If you can, just use dry wipes and wet them down with plain water instead of regular baby wipes because the regular wipes can have chemicals that could irritate the skin more. Also, give your LO at least 2 baking soda baths a day (preferably 3 if you have time). This will help the skin heal faster.
 Honestly, it took 3-4 days to start seeing results. It took about 8-10 days to completely heal. If you still aren't seeing results after 4 days of using lotrimin and giving the baking soda baths, then call your doctor. They might need a stronger antifungal cream (like nystatin).

We use the Boudreaux‘s￼ butt paste and it’s pretty good, works fast, she doesn’t have it bad, just a couple bumps and redness

Did you find something to help? My baby had a crazy rash we fought it for almost 2 months - we finally had to get an antibiotic ointment (mupirocin) from the doctor and a 2.5% hydrocortisone. We tried everything and I mean everything. It looked like a yeast rash but didn’t respond at all to the lotrimin. Another thing we used in conjunction was a cream called calmoseptine those 3 combined cleared it up in 2 days.

Put down some towels or something else waterproof and let the butt air out without a diaper. A bath does wonders for us. Try changing up the brand of diaper of you haven't already. Maybe something a little more natural of you weren't using it already.

I have used the recipe for All Purpose Nipple Cream on my baby. I kid you not, any redness is gone by the a.m.  As previously stated, it could be a yeast

We use Chelsey Wang diaper cream. It works SO well! We’ve thankfully never had a horrible diaper rash, but any sign of one we apply the diaper cream a few times a day and it’ll be gone by the next morning
