18month boy not talking

Hello mommies!

My baby boy just turned 18months this past Wednesday. He’s still not talking. He babbled for a little while back when he was around 12months but stopped. His pediatrician suggested an early intervention and an MRI scan to look at his head structure. I keep reading online that it might be autism. He plays normal, smiles, doesn’t always respond to his name when I call him, eats and sleeps normal. Last night I had a meltdown reading about autism and how my son may have it based on what some people have told me. My husband always gets on me for feeling this way. I also have some friends that told me that he’s very normal and that he hasn’t talked yet probably because we speak two languages to him. But I’m just sad. (I’m also pregnant with my second baby, almost 8weeks, hormones kicking in)
