Protein in urine

I went to the hospital today and had protein in my urine and now have to do the 24 hour urine test. My OB says he doesn’t think it’s preeclampsia but kind of freaking out. Anyone else been through this?

I’ve always seemed to have protein in my urine. You can tell by the amount of bubbles on top of your pee...if there’s a lot of foam that usually is a bad sign. But like others say, some protein is normal and even some have elevated levels without the high blood pressure like me. My pressure is very low, like barely 100/? Sometimes even 95/?

I’ve had to do that test prior to pregnancy- doesn’t mean something is wrong and depends on your level of protein. Wouldn’t stress at this point! FYI I’m 10 weeks and had to do the test (24/hr- and just a tip put a ice chest in your bathroom at night!) to check my levels and they were a little elevated from my test a year ago but I also do low carb (higher protein) so in normal range.

I had protein in my urine but my doc didn’t seem concerned either. Maybe their is a certain level they look for? Because I was concerned also but my doc didn’t seem like it. He told me my blood pressure has been great and I haven’t felt any bad symptoms. I wouldn’t worry😉
