Mastitis

Has anyone else gotten mastitis? I just got my prescription today and am praying it starts helping soon... I’ve been having symptoms of mastitis the last 3 days and it hurts so much having my baby nurse... it’s all I can do not to just stop nursing him. 😭 I was in tears multiple times today from the pain of him nursing and I get shooting pains in my boobs for like 20-30 minutes after he’s done. I’m curious if anyone else has been through this? How much longer will the pain last? How soon did it take before the medicine kicked in for you? Any tips for relief?
