Son throws a FIT during diaper change?

Question

My 22 month old is good about asking to have his diaper changed when it’s dirty (we’ve tried a couple potty training methods, seems like he’s just not ready yet).
He grabs me a diaper, wipes, lays down... then as soon as I start to change him, he SCREAMS. And kicks and fights. No diaper rash, no redness, penis looks fine... any ideas? This has been happening for a while.

My daughter kicks and thinks it’s funny during diaper changes. I think it’s just a phase. She’s not ready for potty training either but we still work on trying to sit on the potty a little

I have to give my son a toy or my keys to occupy him while I change him, I think he just hates being still I’m sure it will pass 😅

My son fights it too. I think he would just rather be playing than sitting still.
